MBTF covers meeting-related expenses. You may request reimbursement for reasonable costs such as airplane tickets, airport transportation, mileage, parking, and direct meeting expenses, but not for personal extras. Reimbursement requests must be submitted within one month of the meeting.

MEMBERSHIP AND ATTENDANCE GUIDELINES:

  • There was a majority with the opinion that we aim for a spirit of inclusiveness rather than imposing new rules and requirements regarding membership and attendance. Membership Meeting Proposal, 7.21.2008.

  • That being said, you will not be reimbursed for member expenses if you fail to come to the meeting.

  • It is recommended to copy Tracy when you book your plane ticket, otherwise please have your mileage or ticket submitted within one month of the meeting. Reasonable travel to and from the airport may also be submitted – just make sure to get and submit the receipt.

  • Any request for individual accommodations can be brought to the attention of the executive committee.

  • Member matching is not tied to attendance.

  • Meeting Dates are set with the goal of accommodating as many people as possible.

  • Going forward, if you have any significant conflicts you may already be aware of, or a preferred timeframe (for example, within your child’s school holiday period, or not) for the Spring Members and Directors Meeting, please let Tracy know at least 2 weeks in advance of the Spring meeting. (If you do not plan to attend that meeting, then this is extremely important!) Please understand that meeting dates are decided on with the goal to accommodate the maximum number of possible attendees, and conflicts are sometimes inevitable. (Membership/Meeting Attendance Guidelines, 12.16.2009)

  • Please reach out to a member of the executive committee or admin for any special accommodations for meetings. 4.1.2023
